"Last season I hunted with Black Oak Outfitters in Roseburg and bagged a great buck. Next year's hunt is listed in the 2006 Oregon Big Game Regulations and the opportunity has been expanded to include the North Bank Habitat Area, a public access reserve near Roseburg. The controlled tag will allow the hunter to take either a blacktail or whitetail buck. The LOP tag is still the best bet for an out-of-state hunter. This tag will provide access to large acreages of land with trophy bucks that have seen little hunting pressure."
I've been fortunate to hunt both Columbia blacktail and Columbia whitetail deer with Black Oak Outfitters. There's no question their prime land is one reason these two unique deer are so plentiful.
